the lost blog entry
this would have been a blog entry i wrote october 9th, 2010. that’s how long i been on ya. i think i used this foot controller once on a show in manchester. it was unreliable. i still have it though. and in tests it appears to be behaving more consistently now. i keep it as a back up. i like it i think it’s bad ass. i bought it off gumtree from a guy who met me at spitalfields in london.

dear mash,
they found my luggage apparently [qantas had lost it]. hopefully it’ll be delivered to steve’s house today. also expecting a MIDI-to-USB cable for my new Roland GFC-50 foot pedal which will mean–at long last–the transition away from ipod-based backing tracks and the ability to start and stop backing/dance tracks on a dime, which will give us untold musical freedoms during the set. very excited about that. and about having my t-shirts and underwear and cologne and crystal deodorant back. i’ve been so wayward, lord. i promise to wear them all differently this time!! plus–deez tour sweatshirts should be arriving on monday! so much shit is arriving to me–what’s going on astrologically there??
furthermore, don’t know if i ever told you about this, but at wesleyan these cool 10th graders (i mean, sophomores) used to host a tiny, invite-only 15-minute dance party on some wednesday nights. it was the perfect study break. anyway, i mis-remembered it as a 5-minute dance party during the Terri Timely shoot and i made this 5 minute (8 minute) dance megamix for our wrap celebration. (note to readers: this mix features a few of my original mash-ups, the ones we’ve been using in our live set, which have been requested on occasion.)
